PhD Scholar Mukti Bahadur Khatri (M. Phil.)

Mukti Bahadur Khatri is a Lecturer and former Coordinator of the M.A. Program in the Department of Economics at Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, Ghantaghar, Kathmandu, Nepal. He began his academic career in 2000 as a Teaching Assistant and has since been teaching at the postgraduate, graduate, and undergraduate levels.

His teaching areas include Nepalese Economics, Public Economics, Policy Economics, Development Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics, Econometrics, History of Economic Thought, and International Economics. Mr. Khatri earned his Master’s degree in Economics from Tribhuvan University in 1999 and completed an M.Phil. in CBA from the same university in 2008.

He has extensive research experience in diverse fields such as economic development, trade, industry, stock markets, and local governance. He has conducted and completed several research projects funded by national institutions, including the University Grants Commission (UGC), Centre for Research at Tribhuvan University, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning of Bagmati Province, the National Planning Commission (NPC) and Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) of Nepal. He is a trainer/mentor of “Creating an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem around Tribhuvan University”. He is also trainer of Market Analysis Tools: The Trade Map and Market Access Map of the International Trade Centre (ITC).

In addition, Mr. Khatri is affiliated with various professional organizations and has actively participated in academic conferences, with several presentations and publications to his credit.
